I Believe In Jesus Lyrics

Verse 1

This ain’t a song about bottles in the club
This is about a role model filled with love
A teacher, a preacher with guidance from above
Sent to represent a message of peace like a dove
In the west they call him Jesus, in the east they call him Isa
Messiah, Christ…the same person that you speak of
Ask me why I wrote this song I will tell you because
There’s too many people silent, it’s time for me to speak up
The son of a virgin, they say it is illogical
Probably improbable but God made it possible
Gabriel told Mary that her son would be phenomenal
His voice was always audible, The opposite of prodigal,
He overcame the obstacles, people attacking him
He was a walking hospital, with healing he was passionate
He cured the sick, raised the dead, shout out to Lazarus
I’m talking about Jesus of Nazareth

Chorus:

If we don’t have peace, we’ll end up in pieces
Treat people the way that you want to be treated
If you do believe it, sing it and repeat it
I am not afraid to say that I believe in Jesus

Jesus…I believe in Jesus
I am not afraid to say that I believe in Jesus
Jesus…I believe in Jesus
I am not afraid to say that I believe in Jesus

Verse 2

I’m just a follower of Jesus
What that means is: I follow what he teaches
I’m not the type of person that just wants to give speeches
I’m trying to be the person that will practice what he preaches

Yeah, ’cause I’ve observed people just say the words
But faith ain’t a noun, it is more like verb
That’s why I wrote this verse, to remind us to serve
‘Cause if you haven’t heard, faith is dead without works

How can we say we believe that God exists
If we always act the opposite, it’s ominous
How we only care about our own accomplishments, and we’re quick to break our promises
We gotta put a stop to this

We all sin, I know that we are human
But we cannot keep on using all the same excuses
Now it is the time we need to prevent the abuses
Listen up, I got the solution

Verse 3

Why does our religion always have to cause division?
In reality we’re all more similar than different
Jesus wanted unity, but nowadays it’s missing
We have to use our vision if we want to do his mission

Can’t we see we’re all children of Adam, brothers and sisters?
If you don’t agree, then you haven’t read the Scriptures
Picture when Jesus comes back to Jerusalem
Will he be happy with the way that you’ve become?

We’re living wrong but today’s a new dawn
So sing along to this song, like David singing the Psalms
Now raise up your arms, give alms with open palms
Jesus brought us a message to follow until we’re gone

Shout out to my dad and mom for blessing me in my youth
God’s essence is the proof that his message is the truth
And this song was just a lesson to remind me and you
To ask ourselves this question, what would Jesus do?

Special thanks to Jason Witten and Daniel Norris.

Heaven Is Where Her Heart Is (Aisha) Lyrics

Lyrics:

Verse 1:
You could be my Aisha, always being righteous
Need you in my life, yup, you could be my wife, yup
They say love is a battle, you know that I’ll be your fighter
Destination Heaven, you’re my weapon in this cypher
But I’m just a writer…I speak truly
My heart is on fire, “spittin” ayahs about beauty
Let me do my duty, I could be your husband
I could be the one that you could always put your trust in
When it comes to loving, I’ll give you everything
They say I’m a King so I’ll treat you like a Queen
Every day when you wake up I’ll be the man of your dreams
You could be my other half and we could stay up on our Deen
Whenever you want, we can go to Umrah
Hop up on a jet,…just to go to Jummah
We could live the good life, I’m talking about the Sunnah
And when I write this music, I do it for my Ummah

Chorus:
She tells the truth, she’s honest
She’s humble and she’s modest
Her speech is the softest
Because Heaven is where her heart is

Verse 2:
Heaven’s citizen, she’s so innocent
Focused on the Lord, so no need for the Ritalin
Haters say she’s different, but she does not belittle them
Her patience is a riddle and it leaves them in bewilderment
She got soul, yeah, she got spirit
And she’s God-fearing, hear it in my lyrics
I got the feeling, hands up to the ceiling
She never does wrong, but still wants to be forgiven
Yeah, she got class
Life is a test and she just wants to pass
She don’t want the money, the cars, or the cash
She just wants a man who will keep her on the straight path
Forget the numbers, I rap for the Ajr
One day you’ll be the one that will wake me up for Fajr
Significant other, wife, my children’s mother
My last name is Sabr
Be patient, one day i’ll be your cover

You Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf

Are the One I call Creator
My Alpha and Omega
My Protector and my Maker
Because of You
In weakness I am braver
My Defender and my Saviour
My Giver and my Taker

Abiding in silence
With patience and guidance
Aware when I need You, the light when I seek You
Justice, forgiveness
The strength in my weakness
And my love, and my love, is strong because

You
Are the One I call Creator
My Alpha and Omega
My Protector and my Maker
Because of You
In weakness I am braver
My Defender and my Saviour
My Giver and my Taker

Lover, Taker
Guider, Saviour
Endless, Greatest
Timeless, Patient
Bringer of the life You gave us
Patron of the world You made us

You are Grateful, my Receiver
You are Watchful, the Perceiver
You are Mercy, my Forgiver
You restore me, my Healer

Because You are, because You.

You:
You is a devotional song based on the 99 names of God. It links directly to the qualities of God, but far from being exclusive there is also a parental association with ‘You’, serving as an homage to those who have nurtured and protected us throughout our lives.

The Centre Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf

Why am I in this place torn asunder by blight?
Shorn by the blades of inequity, drowned by darkness,
Immersed in the turbid waters of negligence and forgetfulness?
Question not why, but understand this simple truth:
Here is the Centre that is the Centre of all wheres,
Now is the moment at the heart of all times.
Ask not why here and now

But be in the here and now
Here is the Centre that is the Centre of all wheres,
Now is the moment at the heart of all times
Ask not why here and now

But be in the here and now
To find the key to all existence

The Centre:
Just as the centre of a circle draws together all the radii surrounding it into unity, The Centre brings together all of the crucial elements of the spiritual journey. Putting aside self-centred doubt and ungratefulness we come to understand that the Here and Now is the doorway between the limited and the Infinite, between time and Eternity. To pass through this doorway is ‘To find the key to all existence.’

Al Malik Lyrics

By: Hesham Abdul Wahab

Allah, You are my only One
Allah, You are my only Love

You are my reason, You are my prayer
You are the one that I believe in Rabbi

You’re the Forgiver, You are the Judge.
You’re the one that I confess in
Give me the strength to open Your door

Al Malik, Al Khaliq, Al Bari, Al Gaffar
You are the greatest Love
Ya Allah

The Forgiving, The Most High, The One, and The Most Kind
You are the brightest Light
Ya Allah

Al Malik, Al Khaliq, Al Bari, Al Gaffar
You are the greatest Love
Ya Allah

Mera Khuda, Meri Chahat

Allah, You are my only One
Allah, You are my only World

You are my dreams and you are my home
You are the one that I hold on to when I fall
You’re my beauty, You are my soul
You are the one I give my life to
Give me the strength to open Your door

Al Malik, Al Khaliq, Al Bari, Al Gaffar
You are the greatest love
Ya Allah
The Forgiving, The Most High, The One, and The Most Kind
You are the brightest light
Ya Allah

One Day Lyrics

By: Maher Zain

Lying here wide awake on my own now
Silence is the loudest cry
I’m safe but I’ve lost everything I’ve known
I can smile because the pain has gone
But cry because it’s where i’m from
God I turn to You to make me strong again

One day I can reach that rainbow
Watch the sweet reflection
Shining off my first home

I’d give anything to see my family again
And say how much I love them
That’s all I imagine
One day

I wish I could go back tomorrow
If it’s only for just one second
Put warmth back into a town that’s frozen
I can smile because the pain has gone
But cry because it’s where i’m from
God I turn to You to make me strong again

One day I can reach that rainbow
Watch the sweet reflection
Shining off my first home
I’d give anything to see my family again
And say how much I love them
That’s all I imagine
One day

I have cried so many times
And all those tears have washed my eyes
I see clearly into the light
‘Cause I believe
I know one day I’ll be home again
To start a new life, with peace everywhere
Right from the start until the end
I believe

That one day
I can reach that rainbow
Watch the sweet reflection
Shining off my first home
I’d give anything to see my family again
And say how much I love them
That’s all I imagine
One day, one day
I believe that one day
One day

Cadence Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf & Seyyed Hossein Nasr

On that moment before all moments,
On that morn before the world was born,
When we did Thy Lordship witness,
Seeing Thy Countenance, hearing Thy Command,
Uttering the yea that echoes forever within,
Did we the cadence of Divine Music hear.

In this lowly world I hear that Music near and far,
In the plucking of the oud and the tar,
In the drone of the sitar and the gong of the gamelan,
In the haunting melodies of those monks
Singing in unison of Thy Glory,
In the rhythmic drumbeats issuing from verdant forests,
And the shepherd’s ney breathing upon the hills,
In all those voices chanting of the love for Thee,
In all music that celebrates Thy Beauty inviolable,
I do hear that cadence of Divine Music,
And so in the chanting of the birds and the singing of the whales,
In the murmur of the wind through those majestic trees,
And even in the silent invocation of the mountains and the stars,
For is not the substance of all Thy creation,
But invocation of Thy Blessed Names
chanted in the cadence of Divine Music?

But most of all it is in solitude with Thee,
When I and Thou are alone in intimacy,
That I hear so clearly the cadence of that Music Divine
Which I heard on that pre-eternal dawn,
And which ceases not to resonate within,
Bearing witness to the reality of Thy Presence,
Echoing the cadence of that Divine Music,
Echoes from the myriads of created beings
That are but nothingness reflecting Thy Theophanies.

Let me be alone in Thy intimacy,
So as to hear again in the clearest of sounds,
The cadence of that Music Divine
Which I heard at the moment of encounter with Thy Face,
In that pre-eternal moment of creation,
The moment that is now and ever shall be the eternal now.

Al-Hamdu Li’Llah Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf & Seyyed Hossein Nasr

Thy Mercy encompasses us O Lord,
As life in the domain of death,
As knowledge in the sea of ignorance,
As the inebriating beauty of Thy Face
Reflecting through earthly forms
In a world which without them
Would suffocate of its own ugliness.
How to thank Thee, O Lord,
When the very breath that thanks Thee
Is vivified by Thy ever-present Mercy.
For is not the very substance of existence
The Breath of Thy Compassion manifested?
And is not the love which quickens life
A reflection of Thy Love for Thine own theophany?

Let Us Not Forget Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf & Seyyed Hossein Nasr

Let us not forget who we are, whence we came, where we shall go;
Let us not forget that pre-eternal day when we bore witness,
Bore witness to His Lordship with a resounding yea,
Which does still echo under the vaults of the celestial realm.

Let us not forget the intimacy of the Beloved’s embrace,
The warmth of Her bosom when we in union were.
We have now fallen and forgotten who we are,
Wandering on earth with no compass in hand.

But we can remember, so let us not forget.
Let us not forget that although cast in this lowly world,
Although blinded by veils of neglect and heedlessness,
Although forgetfulness our second nature has become,
We are placed here on earth to remember and can remember.

Let us not forget then to remember our Origin and End,
To remember who we really are as we make this journey of earthly life.

Terengganu Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf & Seyyed Hossein Nasr

The Word of Allah echoes in this Pacific clime
Far away from the austere mountain of Hira,
Yet, Its power remains, Its resonance firm
As It penetrates the soul of this gentle people,
Bearers of Its message in this land far away.

The Word is burned into the substance of their souls,
Emanating as golden light appearing as threads,
Weaving in songkets patterns that allude
To that magic beauty that to Heaven belongs.
Forms in flora in symmetry bound
In a geometry that feeds the inner eye
In colors, in theopanies that remold the soul
With majestic Quranic verses the unifying crown.

How far we wander away from our abode
To be recalled by the Word and Its distant echoes
In this fleeting journey of life, of His Presence,
Reflected in tile patterns of the Alhambra and Seville,
As well as in the songkets of Terengganu and the nearby.
From East to West the Light of His Word does shine,
For It issues from that central Pole Divine,
Which is neither to the East nor the West confined,
And yet both East and West in Its Light unites.

Ze Eshqat Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf & Seyyed Hossein Nasr

I am so drunk from Thy love that I no longer know myself,
I am in wonderment in this drunkenness and yet remain silent.
Being away from Thee is not possible, nor is Thy embrace full of love,
Yet bewildered am I from the perfume of Thy black hair.
Unveil Thy Face, O Saki, for my soul is in quest.
Give a gulp of that wine that will remove my breath and mind.
In this monastery full of affliction I have accepted much suffering
With this thought—that one day I would drink the wine of gnosis.
In this world I have Thee, I have Thee alone.
Union with Thee is the goal of my life; I continue to strive on this path.

The fervor for meeting Thee burns within me like fire,
I continue to burn in this fire though I am annihilated and silent.

Autumn Lyrics

By: Sami Yusuf & Seyyed Hossein Nasr

From the moment we into this world are born,
Our journey begins to the Origin from which we came.
Our life is a readying for that Return,
Return to whence it all began.
Nature’s ever recurrent rhythms this truth reveal,
And remind us through the birth and death,
Spring and Autumn of vegetal life,
Of that great cycle of our own earthly existence,
Whose Omega is the Return to the Alpha, the All.

With the Autumn breeze the tree colors turn,
Forests become a rainbow of shimmering hues,
Yellows and purples and reds vie with the greens,
In a geometry sublime, intricate beyond our ken,
To create a symphony of forms of endless beauty.
Nature dresses in her most noble garb,
To be worthy of being present before the Majestic King,
To whom all things do return.
And return it does as its colors diminish,
As hues fade away into a subtle colorlessness,
Which yet all colors contains, a death which is also new life.

The gnostic lives in this world of change,
Aware constantly of the Return,
The Return which the origin of true life is.
He sees in Autumn’s majesty, that Return for which he yearns,
Which for him is the Spring of heavenly life.
If Spring be the origin of life below,
Autumn is the Spring of eternal life,
That life for the Return to which the gnostic lives here on earth.
And so for him Autumn is the Spring of life divine,
Heralding the Return to that life that never ends.

Performed by Zain Bhikha

There is so much I feel
Is it just getting wasted
I have so much to say
Is there nobody listening
Is this all just a dream
Am I really living

Then I feel Allah is near
And then I feel no fear

Chorus
And then I call His name
And I know Allah won’t forsake me
Though I may fall, I won’t fail
And I know nothing can break me

I carry so many tears
To build me an ocean
And on a night that is clear
I surrender emotion
I know my Allah is near
And my heart is wide open

So sail on, through this storm
Sail on, to the dawn

Chorus
And then I call His name
And I know Allah won’t forsake me
Though I may fall, I won’t fail
And I know nothing can break me
And then I’m Free
Free

Bridge
So many fears that haunt me
Wanna run away
I try my best to get closer
Feel so far away
I close my eyes and He’s near

Chorus
And then I call His name
And I know Allah won’t forsake me
Though I may fall, I won’t fail
And I know nothing can break me

Did He not find me alone
And from the darkness He guided
For Allah hears. He Knows
And in the silence He comforts me

And then I’m Free
I’m Free

Land of Revelation Lyrics

WRITTEN BY: Zain Bhikha

The air is still
Sun light comes in
And the mountains are alive
As I walk upon
A desert road
Feel a stirring deep within
How can I explain such overwhelming peace
Yet I can’t remain still, my hearts quivering
In this land of revelation

Chorus:
Here I am Allah
For no one but You
لَبَّيْكَ اللّهُمَّ
I surrender to You
As a slave to the Master
I know no other
Allah Here I am
In this land of revelation

Sacred place on earth
A most blessed birth
A child of light within
Cleansed by the Angels
So many favors
Allah placed On Al Amīn
And there’s none in the seven heavens that doesn’t know his name
For Muḥammad is perfection
Sent to lead the way
From this land of revelation

Chorus

This heavenly stone
Placed in its home
By the hands of the chosen one
Oh I hear it cry
Just one more time
For a kiss from Rasūlullāh
Is this where he prayed for us
At the station of Ibrāhīm
For Muḥammad was pure mercy
رَحْمَةٌ لِلعَالَمِيْنَ
In this land of revelation

Chorus

From the silence
My soul rises
To the call of the adhān
I imagine
How beautiful
Was the voice of Bilāl
And for the first time in my life, I finally feel at home
In this city of Rasūlullāh,
Ṣallallāhu ٴAlayhi Wasallam
And the land of the revelation

As a slave to the Master
I know no other
Allah Here I am
In this land of revelation

That Moment He Smiled Lyrics

WRITTEN BY ZAIN BHIKHA.

Spoken Word by Dawud Wharnsby
“It is narrated that during the death sickness of the Prophet (pbuh) while the people were praying, the Prophet (pbuh) drew back his curtain and stood looking at them. They say his face was intensely illuminating, and there was nothing more beautiful than His face when he looked at them on that day. And then… He smiled. He signaled to them to continue the Salāh and then he closed his curtain. The Prophet (pbuh) passed away later that day…

Darkness fell upon Madīnah tonight, people cried
For God had given his beloved messenger a choice
For so long, he had struggled now he’d won
The hearts of the best believers, a generation so strong

Chorus:
He drew back the curtain and He gazed
Upon those He loved the most and He smiled
His face was shining like the moon
There was nothing more beautiful than the light He brought to this world

Looking back now over 23 years
His message changed the world
People living lost in the wilderness
Darkness over all

He came to revive the dead hearts He awoke
He brought justice, peace and love
With amazing words from God that He spoke

Chorus:
He drew back the curtain and He gazed
Upon those He loved the most and He smiled
He knew that they’d come so far
Did so much to get close to Him and Allah

Gazing out at those standing in prayer
His face like the moon
For they were the fruit of his life’s work
Reviving the truth

Right then He knew that his mission was complete
For through these faces before him, the word of God will forever live

Chorus:
So He drew back the curtain and He gazed
Upon those He loved the most and He smiled
He knew that they’d come so far
Did so much to get close to Him and Allah

What if he was standing right in front of me
Would he cry
Would he take my hand and embrace me in his arms
With tears in his eyes
Would he say to me
Why did you abandon my way
Did you not love me enough
Would he turn and walk away

If He drew back the curtain and He gazed
upon my life today
Over a thousand years later and here I am
Trying oh so hard
There is nothing I wouldn’t do
For that moment in time
Just to see him smile

Chorus:
Just like He drew back the curtain and He gazed
Upon those He loved the most and He smiled
His face was shining like the moon
There was nothing more beautiful than the light He brought to the world

Ca C’est La Vie Lyrics

WRITTEN BY: Zain Bhikha, Saifullah, Jeremy Karodia & Vivek Partshotam .

I wanna know
How do you feel
Coz I’d like you to show
Your story untold

So don’t be afraid
Just let it go
I’ll ease your pain
As our story unfolds

I know life can be hard
But I am here by your side
So let your tears flow
Coz I wanna know

Chorus
Ca C’est La Vie
This is life
And I’ll be by your side
Like the shore meets the tide
So take hold of me
My love is infinity
Coz there in your smile
Lies my destiny

I know who you are
Strong as a mountain
An undeniable star
That shines on forever

But even mountains can crumble
And stars fade away
But you’re my forever
Somehow we’ll be ok

I see that you’ve come so far
You’ve struggled oh so hard
Don’t face your fears alone
Coz I wanna know

Chorus

Spoken Word:
I see you so fragile
My beautiful angel
My blessing you’ve brought out
The best in me….
You’re my tomorrow
Cos when I look at you
My future in Jannah
You’ve helped me to see
I know it’s hard
No one could ever understand
The struggles that you face
Please know I lend my hand
Forever made for yours, intertwined, made to hold
Lock and load, come what may, I’ll never let you go
Cos you are what makes me
I’m forever grateful
For every moment
To raise you, to praise you
To always be there
To always love you
My beautiful angel

Hasbun’ Allah Lyrics

WRITTEN BY: Zain Bhikha

The blazing fire burned like the sun
And all he claimed was God is one
And there was no one by his side
His heart was strong, his faith was right
The friend of Allah Ibrāhīm knew
God’s promise will stand true, he said

Chorus
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
As I stand here alone, I have nothing to fear
For I trust in Allah, He is all that I need

Fearlessly he faced the pharaoh
Pleading let my people go
For you are not our Lord, the One
Who Commands the moon, commands the sun
The Prophet Mūsā stood firm and free
His faith took them towards the sea, he said

Chorus
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
My Lord, Open the way
Our lives in your hands
Show us your mercy
You are all that we have

She lay alone her baby born
How would she face the people’s scorn
For she was chaste, not touched before
By any man, her life so pure
The greatest woman that ever lived
Maryam held a miracle, she said

Chorus
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
As we lay here alone
This gift given to me
A great messenger
Oh my son you will be

He faced an army filled with hate
His only message was God is great
But all they did was drive him out
A thousand strong now to end his light
Muḥammad (pbuh) stood, so few by his side
He turned and eased the fear in their eyes, He said

Chorus
حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me
Do not forsake us O lord
Make our hearts firm today
If these few of us fail, who will call out Your Name
And Allah heard his call, sent the Angels to him

When he said حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
With all that I go through in this life
There’s nothing that can shake my faith
For Allah is all that anyone needs
Just say حَسْبُنا اللهُ وَ نِعْمَ الْوَكِيْلُ
Allah is enough for me

Allah Made Everything Lyrics

WRITTEN BY ZAIN BHIKHA and ZAYAAN BHIKHA.

Hey little fish in the bottom of the ocean
Moving along in a really cool motion
Did you ever wonder where you came from
Who is the lord of all creation
The little fish said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”

Hey little bird so way up high
Light up the sky with your color design
Tell me who made you and I
Me to walk and you to fly
The little bird said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”

Chorus:
Allahu Akbar
Our Creator
There’s no one greater
Than Allah
So why do we stand tall
Too proud to recognize
What’s right before our eyes
Signs from our Lord

Hey alligator laying so still
Who’s your maker, by who’s will
Do you crawl and do you swim
Who controls everything
The alligator said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”

Hey king of the jungle the mighty lion
Top of the food chain, no denying
But who is the one that you rely on
Life or death who is deciding
The Lion said “That’s my Lord”
“Allah the Creator of us all”

Chorus

Hey my brother hey my sister
See yourself as self sustainer
Don’t you see what will come later
We all return to the Creator
Then we’ll say “That’s our Lord”
“Oh Allah forgive us all”

I travelled the world, north to the south
East to the west and there ain’t no doubt
Whoever I see, whatever I’ve found
I can hear them sing out loud
Alḥamdullillāh Praise my Lord
Allah the Creator of us all

Chorus

Additional Chorus:
Allah made everything
You and I
Allah made everything
The earth and the blue sky
But do we remember him
Thank him for everything
Surrender to only Him
With all our lives

Allah Remains Lyrics

WRITTEN BY: Zain Bhikha and Dawud Wharnsby

Where are all the kings of old, where are all the gods
They sat upon a mighty throne
Where’s their arrogance gone
To dust, to dust

Where is the rejected one
Stood tall and questioned why
Thought he was better than clay
For he was made of fire
Respite, Respite

Chorus:
But Allah remains
Allah Remain
Allah Remains

Everything we cherish
Every test and pain
Everything we tried to gain
Everything we steer away
Everything will perish
But Allah remains

Where are all the tyrants gone
Those who killed in rage
Who thought that they would live forever
And they would never age
The graves, the graves

Where are all the righteous ones
Revivers of the truth
Who came and shook the status quo
And changed the world for good
At peace, at peace

Chorus

Where will all the mountains go
When fire fills the skies
And the angel blows his trumpet once
And all creation’s dies
Silence, Silence

Everything we cherish
Every test and pain
Everything we tried to gain
Everything we steer away
Everything will perish
But Allah remains

I observe, I stare and see, spectator on the earth,
I leaf through books of history, to try and find my worth.
But I believe my soul to be, a gift of Allah’s grace,
And the timeless nature can’t be tied to worldly time or space.
And when I have left this shell behind, and this world’s done with me
And my soul returns to God, for all eternity
That day, Will I, be free

Everything we cherish
Every test and pain
Everything we tried to gain
Everything we steer away
Everything will perish
But Allah remains

Chorus
But Allah remains
Allah Remain
Allah Remains
